Great beginner lace project—using lace or sock weight yarn.

Sizes:                        

Scarf: 8” wide x 79” long blocked to size

Shawl: 14” wide x 59” long blocked to size

Yarn:        

Lace: 459 yds

Sock: 400 yds

Needles:

Lace: Size US 6 (4.0mm) needles

Sock: Size US 7 (4.5mm) needles

Gauge:

5.25 sts = 1” (21 sts = 10cm) in lace weight using smaller needles in pattern

4 sts = 1” (16 sts = 10cm) in sock weight using larger needles in pattern

gauge not crucial for this project
