Ski hat is knit using an old Scandinavian technique called tvåändsstickning or
tvebandsstrikking in Norwegian—or “two-end knitting or twining” in English. This simple
technique will keep the hat warm, wind resistant and surprisingly soft.

One Skein Knit!

Sizes:
XS (baby), S (child), M (adolescent), L (adult)
Yarns:
90 (100, 118, 128) yds worsted weight 100% wool
and 10 yds contrasting color (for edging and tassels)
Needles:
Size US 9 (5.5mm)16-inch circular and
double pointed needles
or size as needed to achieve gauge
Gauge:
4.75 sts = 1” in St St (19 sts = 10 cm)
6 sts = 1” in twining method (24 sts = 10 cm)
